CHOLLEY HISTORY Chapter 1: Dr. Jules Louis Masset De Vallefort

Chapter 1: Dr. Jules Louis Masset De Vallefort.
Who is Dr. Jules Louis Masset de Vallefort and why is he so important for CHOLLEY and Phytocosmetics?
He was born in 1915 in Switzerland and studied pharmacology at the University of Geneva where he received his doctorate in 1944.
Dr. Masset devoted his professional career to building a great wealth of knowledge about vitamins and plants, and their therapeutic and cosmetic benefits. He developed and refined extraction techniques to better preserve the active ingredients and improve the yields of medicinal plants.
His knowledge and expertise were widely recognized and were employed by prestigious Swiss pharmaceutical firms such as Hoffmann – La Roche and Sandoz. Dedication to research and an insatiable interest in beneficial properties of plants took Dr. Masset on extensive trips to Asia, Africa, and South America.

Our History begins in 1972 when he founded his own Laboratory in Locarno, Switzerland.
Based on his experience and research over the extraction of plants and their use in cosmetics, he is considered one of the pioneers of Phytocosmetics in Europe and created his lines BIOREGENE, BIOCLEAN, and BIOVENAC in the seventies when nobody talks about BIO in that time.
By the time of his retirement in 1986, Dr. Masset had developed many outstanding Phytocosmetics products and had trained a highly competent core of professionals to continue in his footsteps. He also developed and refined extraction techniques to better preserve the active ingredients and improve the use of medicinal plants in Phytocosmetics.
The Laboratory of Dr. Jules Louis Masset de Vallefort has been acquired by CHOLLEY SA in 1990.
